Welcome

At Texas Oaks, every member is important. Part of our unique identity is that we come from all walks of life and yet are unified in the Spirit of Christ. Membership certainly has its benefits—people who care, a family to love and a vision to pursue.

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.  For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many.  (1 Cor. 12:12-14)

At Texas Oaks Baptist Church, we cling to the above passage. Membership in our church means something and comes with expectation. We are a Southern Baptist Church where everything we are about is connected to one of God's five purposes given to the church (Mark 12:30-31, Matthew 28:18-20): Worship, Ministry, Evangelism, Fellowship, and Discipleship...

We have a desire at Texas Oaks to bring people into membership in God's family, build them up to spiritual maturity, equip them to serve others through ministry and send them out into the world on mission.
